The Florida Keys Community Health Center (FKCHC), also known as the Rural Health Network of Monroe County Florida, Inc. has established three regional committees, one in each of the Upper, Middle, and Lower Keys to help raise funds to support the FKCHC.

In 2004, the FKCHC program assisted 7,500 people in Monroe County by offering medical aid to the underinsured and uninsured.

Unfortunately, the program is now facing drastic cuts in funding that will result in drastic cuts in services offered.  As concerned citizens of Monroe County, we must raise some of the funds to replace those being lost to show the County our support so that the program can continue to receive government grants.

The FKCHC assisted people in need of physical examinations, laboratory testing, adult and pediatric health and social services, immunizations, wound care, HIV testing, STD testing and counsel, TB testing, women's health exams and testing, health education and prevention, pregnancy testing, vision and hearing screening, basic first aid, pharmaceutical assistance, and referral service.

The FKCHC recently, through the generosity of the Fishermen's Hospital Association and to better serve the community, opened a Dental Clinic in the Middle Keys at 2855 Overseas Highway, Marathon.

There are many underinsured and uninsured residents working in the Keys who need medical and dental care and who are now being served by the Florida Keys Community Health Center because it is the only such service available to them.  The services offered by the FKCHC are vital to our community.  We need your support to insure that these programs continue.  On behalf of the Florida Keys Community Health Center, we are asking all to contribute to the ongoing success of this program.  We are counting on you.
